People tell others “I love you” when they don’t even love themselves. Only out of the abundance of love from within can you then spread genuine affection and care to another person. I wouldn’t trust food being offered to me by a man who I know is starving. In the same sense, if an individual is emotionally starving of self-love, how then can they properly display their love for you?
